Lipstick Love: Bite Beauty Luminous Creme Lipstick in Apricot

How hot is this lipstick?!

I was in Sephora with Bite Beauty's Define & Refine Lip Set in my hand, ready to purchase. Then I saw the promo image on the Bite display of a model with the perfect orange-red lip. Luckily, the name of the color was written on the image. Apricot. I dropped the value set and grabbed the very last tube of Apricot instead.

You know that I LOVE me a good orange lip! Apricot is the perfect vermillion. It's completely opaque in just one swipe and doesn't feather, bleed or fade. It's not budgeproof, but it can last through a meal with minimal fading. It also doesn't make lips feel dry like many other opaque lipsticks.

Bonus: All Bite lipsticks contain the same amount of antioxidant resveratrol found in five glasses of red wine. So, you can get your antioxidants in without gettin' drunk! Yay!

Verdict: Bright lipstick lovers, this lipstick is worth the splurge!

A Green Eye Makeup Look

I've been living and working in South Korea for about a month (and loving it, btw). I haven't had much time to play with makeup or wear much color on my face. One night, I was itching to just sit down and slap some color onto my face. I wasn't even going out that night. I just wanted to spend some time with my makeup.

Do you do that too?

A friend of mine, and also a complete makeup newbie, wanted to watch me do my makeup and learn. So, she came over as well. She sat on my bed and took notes the whole time. It nice to show her that makeup is FUN!

I let my friend pick the makeup colors; she wanted green and a bit of gold. You know how much I love green, so I was on it! Here's what I came up with that night.

Matte Green Glitter Nails with Skin Food & China Glaze

Skin Food is new favorite Korean cosmetics brand of mine. They have an entire line of matte nail colors and, of course, I had to have the green one. It's called #4 Green Gunppangn and it's really pretty all by itself. But you know I need glitter in my life pretty much all the time, so I threw on a coat of China Glaze Fairy Dust. Then, I re-mattified it with China Glaze Matte Magic top coat.

Although this mani is absolute awesomeness, it barely lasted a day before chipping. Damn matte nail polish and its inability to last long. It was good while it lasted.
